To Restore Dignity and Hope to people in need
These days, it's hard not to see the grave needs going unmet throughout our city. We continue to see increasing homelessness, unemployment, suicides, divorce, drug and alcohol problems - just to name a few. There are signs everywhere of the precariousness of our situation. At the same time, however, WestCare Comunity Services, which was founded upon the compassionate drive to meet peoples needs in the Penrith Community, continues to reach out and restore dignity and hope back to the Western Suburbs of Sydney. Based in the heart of Penrith, WestCare Community Services gives away over $2300 of food, clothing and toiletries. On average, per month we:
- feed approximately 600 people with our Emergency Food Service
- assist with Electricity & Gas, Water & Telstra vouchers
- give away 350 items of clothing
- CarePacks are given to Mum's in distressing situations
- CarePacks are given for women on parole from the local Correctional Centre
